Just a quick update. I havent been out in a while . I am still alive, I miss a hell of alot of people. I hope you are all doing well

Make sure you pick up the hope after the end demo. Perrri is a good honest dude so you cant go wrong.

Also watch out for Apparent Death they are gonna mosh your head off.

So last night was fun went to Scottys 21st. I cant believe that guy is younger than me, so is hoppo and probably alot of other people who I think are older than me, spun out, I hope Grandad isnt younger than me. Homsey isnt younger than me though, he was teaching us how to head bang to Bon Jovi at Carnegies and was wearing a tidy little button up at the same time.

Last night was fun on many levels even though we were on the second level of Carnegies. Firstly it was all the nice people who said hello to me and made me feel welcome even though I havent been out much recently. There was Troy n Todd who are always good value, There was Amy K the kindest girl in hardcore, Then there is Brendan who is always there for anyone with a smile and a good conversation and a Refused style fashion sense.(name dropping ends now) Then there was the music, listening to hardcore bands such as bon jovi and guns and roses then a Metal surprise with Blink 182. Then on a third level there was Lilads dances moves to Homsey. How could this night be beaten? oh yeah I got to hang out with my fave girl before hand.

Tonight I am hanging with the girl of my dreams then I might go see Miles Away at amplifier but I dont really want to see Prom Queen and Kiss Chasy. What ever happened to Officialy Undecided?

Going down south on Wednesday, cant wait !

Hey world

Been a cool week and a half since I last posted. The rest of the trip was grand, one band that really stuck out in my mind are Sense Of Purpose, if you get a chance check these guys out, they even do the same cover MA does (Carry On - Off My Chest). Good blokes too.

Thankyou so much to Luke for the lift to the airport he calmed me with metal and jokes and got me to my plane with like 4 minutes to spare, good dude!

So since then I have been sick and I have been hanging out with my girlfriend who is awesome to say the least. She makes me feel so happy and she might be coming to Against this weekend which I cant wait for, I dont think I was this amped for Parkway Drive, Against are awesome and it should be fun.

Good Riddance - Corner Hotel 09.06.2004

We got to the show in time for dinner before hand and met up with a good friend luke and had dinner. Went into the show and saw the first band from NZ named Missing Teeth, I will admit they arent the style of music I would listen to. I couldnt get into them. The set finished quickly and that was probably a good thing.

Next were Away From Now, I hadnt seen these guys since October of 2003 and I was very amped to see them, I dont think alot of the crowd knew who they were but they played a very solid set. Final Thought at the end made me a happy bloke,cant wait for the 5 way split to come out. I think they also made a few hundred fans by the way they sold thier cd's also.

Next was Good Riddance and if you know me at all you know how much I love these guys, I was a bit reluctant to think they would play old stuff, I thought they would be here to push thier new cd. They played one song off thier new Cd, one song off Symptoms 3 songs from Operation Phoenix, 2 from Ballad from The Revolution and around8 songs from A Comprehensive Guide To Modern Rebellion. So I was completly wrong. They opened up the set with Blueliner which set around 600 people into a crazy circle pit. Then they went right into one of my personal faveourites Fetrile Fields. the set then went something along the lines of Trophy, Heresy, Hypocrisy And Revenge, A Credit To His Gender, More Depalma Less Felini, Salt, Last believer, Think Of Me, Weight of The World, Shit-Talking Capitalists, Fire Engine Red, Years From Now, then they finished off with Waste and ended the song the only way they good with a little tuff intro. They gave props to WA and I had a fukn good time.

Goo tonight with Parkway Drive and A Secret Death then same on Friday then home on Saturday

I dont know what is more exciting, seeing a band I have grown up listening to and has had a big influence on the music I listen to and the times I have shared with so many friends such as Good Riddance , or the prospect of getting mountain dew slushies from 7/11's while I am in Melbourne on Monday.

If anyone in Melbourne wants a copy of the new Miles Away cd or Alleged demo or any other perth band cd then leave a message or email me. I am coming to Melbourne in 10 days. I suggest you get your hands on some of the best music Australia has to offer.

Same with Perth people, anyone wants anything from the Good Riddance/Away From Now/ Missing Teeth show or A Secret Death/Parkway Drive shows then do the same

Good Weekend

Friday night went to Joshs 21st in Nedlands with Homsey Troy and Tristan, it was awesome fun we saw an old man that looked like Gough Whitlam, homsey got a picture of him. We left the 21st in time for Miles Aways set at Whitesands for thier CD launch. Good set, fun times more and more people at these shows which is good to see.

Saturday I went to lunch then to the movies with the girl from work, we saw Kill Bill 2. Good movie, I didnt like the first one but the second one is good. We were going to go to the zoo but it was raining bummer, so I dropped her home and went down to the All Ages Miles Away Cd Launch. Saw From The Ruins, Alleged and Miles Away which were all good. Jim Ftr I hope we still see that bloke around coz he is a good bloke.

After the show we went back to Homseys to drop my car off and got a lift to Jimmies party in leederville and I got rather boozy with alot of good friends, was reunited with the band Lagwagon on cd until Homsey put on Zombie Apocolypse and sung along for us all, Awesome fun chilling with good mates at Jimmies, top dudes, ended up getting a lift back to Homseys with Matty Rabbit and watched RAGE until around 3 and there was crap film clips on and we thought what if these rnb freaks were in homseys house and we had a good laugh. I ran out of smokes so we walked to the store and got more then went across the road to the beach and I used surf lingo with Homsey, tottaly tubular. Got home and watched Beastie Boys film clips then slept on the floor with a bean bag.

Woke up Sunday morning with a sore head and went out on the front lawn to bask in the sun which i dont think we will see much more of until summer rears its pretty head. homsey joined me and we decided to go get breakfast went to Inalloo and homsey yakked for all the families at Mc Donalds, found Blink 182s dude ranch in Tobys ute and we were back in 99 listening to classics. Got back to Homseys and realised we had to move all his shit back to his mums, tuff day lots of lifting and riding in utes with boys.

Brilliant weekend.

2 weeks until I go to Melbourne today, I cant wait I hope its as fun as all other trips, I am seeing :Good Riddance, Away From Now, Missing Teeth, Parkway Drive, A Secret Death, Carparthian and Sense Of Purpose and maybe Justin Timberlake but JT is a bit tuff so maybe not

Its been a rad weekend, Parkway Drive were fucking awesome, loved every moment of it. Great band, cant wait to see them in a few weeks over in Melbourne. Speaking of Melbourne its less than 3 weeks away until I go there again. I cant wait I always have so much fun with the crew over there, Good Riddance and Away From Now make it all the more fun.

So the big news for me right now is my new female intrest from work. She is basically me but hot and a girl. We have the same sense of humour and I can talk to her for hours. I am sure if you are a friend you will meet her in due course but I just cant stop thinking of all the laughs and heart felt high fives we share. Shes polish aswell so I think I have Homseys commendation.

If your a friend, you know who you are, Thankyou so much for making last weekend what it was, nothing short of fucking awesome.

I give in to defeat, the truly perfect being of holmes has defeated I, the warrior of Tetris, victory will be mine.

I went to Steves last night, I am slowly getting over that place but my friends had fun and thats the main thing. Also I swapped my Shai Hulud badge for a Britney Spears bade with james, he is a good dude I feel sorry for ripping him off.

Im glad Tims home, hes the sort of person you take for granted but when they are gone there is a huge hole. Welcome home broface.

Weekend has nearly arrived, apart from Saturday nights show and work on Saturday im not too sure whats going down.

Hi World

Work all week was shit but I have fish and they kept me company, a new girl at work asked me out for drinks after work, I had a coke like the wuss I am but we had one of the coolest conversations over around 4 hours it was rad, then I had to bail to see my best friends. I went to Emmas then picked up Lyndsay and Tristan and Troy, went to Whitesands.

We got there a little late and missed Dying Cause which sucks but we saw Miles Away and From The Ruins which blew me away yet again, such a good band and so much fun.

As the night drew on I became increasingly tired as over the last few days I have had a total of 6 hours sleep so i really should have stayed at home but im glad I didnt, although I became very grumpy and didnt want to speak to anyone. Thankyou to little Brendan BFM and Amy K for thier concern but I was just a little grumpy bitch hehehe

I booked my flights last night to go and see Good Riddance, too good June 8th to 12th and Lyndsay I will be home in time for your party but I wont be at your party until around 10 o clock as I get in at 8. So you can no longer kill me

I have come crawling back to live journal. Thankyou to all the nice people who convinced me to stay.

Since I have been away, Good Riddance have announced a tour, I just heard Away From Now are supporting them, I couldnt be more happier. Two symbols of sincerity and decent music I hope more people decide to come over for the tour.

Speaking of decent music, the Alleged demo is sweet.

I bought two mexican fighting fish, they are posi though and dont fight each other. Good fish, one is called Dustin and one is Russ.

Mums been away this weekend so its been a quiet weekend here at home. Fridays whitesands show was good, Saturday was fun also.

What a rad weekend

Geraldton was truly amazing, good people, good friends, awesome beaches. Adam and Mav are real good dudes. Both Alleged and Miles Away played really well and the crowd got into them in the best way they could, very good !
I could go on forever about Geraldton trip but I wont, lets just say it was a completly rad weekend with lots of good dudes and dudettes.

Sunday night I went to Nats with Homsey, that was fun but I was too tired so I wanted to come home, I woke up real early Monday and went to the zoo with mtole . Such a cool girl and very smart, I had a wonderful time except for when we went to the snakes department, then it was tuff as and I was a scared little rat.

I hope everyone has a good week

Good Evening

Been an up and down weekend, I am real glad I got to see some friends. Friday night was fun, From The Ruins at Rosemount, they played a good set even though I sound like a fruit when I do a mic share

Saturday is a day which I hope to remember for a while, for the good and the bad. I woke up and walked to the payphone because a friend was in town and I wanted to hang out, it wasnt to be oh well. Miles Away played a good set that night. Something With Numbers are shocking generic, I enjoyed LYH, highlight of the night was hanging with a true decent person Sean Holmes even though he was too drunk to watch Finding Nemo

Today i went to a good persons house to celebrate his birthday, matthew i hope you had a good day, I sure did. Hanging out with alot of good friends, slushies and what not. Rad.
